Useful Information about Servicing

  • Why should I bother to service my machinery?
  • Manufacturers want their equipment to perform to the best of its capability throughout its design life. To achieve this they specify service schedules which reflect the requirements of the machine and which should be adhered to throughout the design life of the machine and is mandatory throughout its warranty period.

  • How does servicing benefit my machinery?

  • Even the most basic machine can benefit from servicing! Components wear and if that wear is not compensated for by the way of adjustment or replacement then other components will be affected which can result in poor performance or ultimately in catastophic failure. Adjustments made in good time can prevent future failures and expensive repair bills and down time!
Oil and timely filter changes can help preserve engine and drive line life and are usually specified within service schedules by manufacturers.

  • Why use a dealership for servicing my machine?

  • Staff at authorized dealerships have access to detailed technical manuals, service bulletins and updates as well as attending regular manufacturer product training . This means they are aware of issues and can readily identify potential problems even before they start work on your machine. To put it simply they know what to look for, how to make the right adjustments correctly, and have the right tools, knowledge and working enviroment to get the job done speedily and correctly.

  • Why Winter Servicing?

  • Simply put your machine has worked hard all through the season and will benefit from being serviced and cleaned in preparation for its over wintering rather than just being stored with old fuel in the carburettor with damp grass and debris covering the cutting deck pulleys and blade! This is also the time when your machine is not in use and so we can deal with it over a prearranged time line in the most efficient and cost effective manor, to provide you the customer with the best possible service and value for money.

  • OEM Parts V Pattern Parts ?

  • As authorised dealers for many of the leading manufacturers we have access to genuine OEM parts stock and will always supply and fit genuine approved parts from the manufacturer. This maintains the quality, reliability and longevity of your equipment and ensures that any remaining warranties remain valid.

    Information about Aspen.

Aspen is available as a pre-mixed 2-stroke and 4-stroke fuel, suitable for strimmers to model cars and lawnmowers to camping stoves

What we refer to in everyday language as environmental petrol is alkylate petrol. The name comes from the word alkylation, which is the name of the process used to extract the raw product.
From gas to liquid The alkylation process takes place at oil refineries through surplus gases from the crude oil distillation and cracking plant being mixed. The result is a liquid (alkylate) which is the purest extractable petroleum product. The alkylate is then mixed with a number of other components and we now have a finished product - the Aspen alyklate petrol, ready to be used in most small engines.
Better for your health, the engine and our environment When you use Aspen environmental petrol, you avoid dangerous substances such as benzene and aromatic hydrocarbons, substances that can cause serious health problems.
The engine is also treated more kindly, for example, the spark plug and combustion chamber are kept cleaner.
As Aspen is also ethanol free, the petrol can be stored safely and even after long periods of disuse, your engine starts without any problems if your tank has been filled with Aspen environmental petrol. Environmentally, there are numerous benefits, e.g. the formation of ground-level ozone (smog) is reduced by more than 50%.
Small engines are often uncomplicated and are technically simple engines with less than optimal combustion rates. This means that much of the fuel escapes unused. This, in turn, has a negative impact on both the environment and you, the user.
The following machines benefit from Aspen environmental petrol:
Lawn mowers, grass trimmers, rotavators, outboards, chainsaws, brushcutters, generators and motorcycles.
There are two main variations of our petrol: Aspen 2 and Aspen 4: Aspen 2 is a ready-mixed petrol with 2 % fully synthetic two-stroke oil. Aspen 2 is used for all two-stroke engines except outboards, which need the addition of a special outboard oil. Aspen 4 is not mixed and is used in four-stroke engines and two-stroke engines with separate lubrication.
